Television Information Set for Championships

On ESPN U & ESPN 2

            Kearney, Neb. –  The City of Kearney and the University of Nebraska at Kearney will gain national exposure in March as both the NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships and the women's basketball Elite Eight will air on national television.

      The wrestling championships are March 9-10, with the women's basketball Elite Eight occurring on March 21,  22 and 24 in the Health & Sports Center.

     As previously announced, ESPN2 and ESPNU will carry the semifinals and the national championship game of the Elite Eight.

      On Thursday March 22nd, the semifinals will be at 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. CST and be will air live on ESPNU. Two days later, ESPN2 will cover the national title game, beginning at 5:00 p.m. CST.

      Dave Armstrong will handle the play-by-play duties for the three games while former Loper women's basketball player Brenda VanLengen will be the analyst for the contests.
