Television Information Set for ChampionshipsOn ESPN U & ESPN 2
Kearney, Neb. – The City of Kearney and the University of Nebraska at Kearney will gain national exposure once again this week as the 2008 women's basketball Elite Eight will air on national television. Like last March, ESPN 2 and ESPN U will carry the semifinals and the national championship game. On Thursday March 27th, the semifinals will be at 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. CST and be will air live on ESPN U. Two days later, ESPN 2 will cover the national title game, beginning at 5:00 p.m. CST. The championship game can also be seen on line at ESPN 360. Sam Gore will handle the play-by-play duties for the three games while former Loper women's basketball player Brenda VanLengen will be the color analyst for the contests. The quarterfinal games Wednesday will not be on television but will be video webcasted by the NCAA/CSTV (College Sports Television). Go to www.ncaa.com for more information. |
