Antelope Artillery is an organization that supports UNK Athletics and other activities in addition to area community events.

   The Antelope Artillery was founded in 1995 to replace the color guard and cannon crew which had previously been

provided by the Army R.O.T.C.

The main function of the Artillery is to support UNK Athletics by firing the cannon at all Loper Home Football games and providing color guard for Men's and Women's Basketball and other UNK events.

In addition, the cannon squad fires the cannon on Memorial Day and special veteran's events.  The Artillery color

  1. Be able to march in unison with others while
    carrying the national or state colors.
  2. Have free hand movement to carry and use a saber.
  3. Carry 40 pounds.
