Gino Polastri is in his first year as a UNK graduate assistant coach in 2008. This fall, he'll lead the Loper inside linebackers.

     Polastri comes from American River College (Sacramento, Calif.) where he served as co-defensive coordinator and defensive line coach.

     He also worked closely with the Beaver special teams and recruited the Sacramento area. 

     A California native, he played at ARC, earning all-region and all-conference honors as a linebacker. Polastri then finished his career at NCAA Division II member Concord University (Athens, W.V.).

     While at Concord, he earned first-team all-conference honors at linebacker and was selected to play in the 2004 East Coast Bowl, an annual all-star game for non-Division I seniors.

      Polastri remained at Concord as a under-graduate assistant coach, working with the linebackers for two years.

    Graduating from Concord in May 2007 with a degree in Health & P.E., Polastri prepped at Casa Roble High School in Orangevale, Calif.
