2002 Football Scheduled Announced

      Kearney, NE – For the fourth straight season, the schedule for the Nebraska-Kearney football team remains unchanged. In addition to its eight RMAC opponents, the Lopers will play non-league games against in-state rivals Wayne State and Nebraska-Omaha.

      UNK will open its season against UNO, the first time the Lopers have met the Mavs in a season opener since 1986. The two teams will meet August 29^th at 8:00 p.m. at UNO's Caniglia Field.

      The Lopers home season begins the following Saturday against Wayne State.  The Lopers went 8-2 in 2001, including 7-1 in the RMAC.
