Community Encouraged to Bring a Youngster to the September 21st Game
Kearney, NE - Area youngsters will have an opportunity to experience the college game-day atmosphere when UNK hosts NCAA@ Football's annual Take a Kid to the Game@ (TAKG) program. Kids, ages 18 and younger, will be admitted for $1 to watch the UNK Lopers take on Western State at Foster Field.
UNK is one of more than 170 schools across the nation that are participating in this campaign focused on attracting more of the nation's youths to college games. The Take a Kid to the Game@ program is entering it's eighth year in the promotion of NCAA@ Athletics.
"We are very excited to be participating in the NCAA Take a Kid to the Game initiative," said Jon McBride, athletic director at UNK. "Our wish is that all of the young kids in our
immediate area will have the opportunity to experience the one-of-a-kind atmosphere that is NCAA Football."
