Kaczor Goes to Idaho

Lopers Lose Offensive Coordinator/QB Coach

Kearney, NE – Nebraska-Kearney head football coach Darrell Morris announced today that offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Nate Kaczor (kat-zer) is leaving UNK to be an assistant coach at the University of Idaho.

The Vandals, a member of the Division I Sun Belt Conference, recently named Nick Holt as their new head coach. Most recently, Holt was USC’s linebacker coach.

Kaczor’s official title at Idaho is yet to be determined but he will coordinate the offense with new running backs coach Joel Thomas.

Using a diversified passing attack implemented by Kaczor, the Lopers averaged 35.3 points and 442.19 yards of offense per game over the last four years. UNK broke or tied 31 offensive records since Kaczor came aboard prior to the 2000 season.

Prior to UNK, Kaczor was an assistant coach at his alma mater, Utah State, for eight years.
