Seventeen Join FootballLopers Focus on Linemen Kearney, Neb. – Nebraska-Kearney head football coach Darrell Morris announced today the names of 17 high school seniors who will join the Lopers next fall. The group includes 12 Nebraska natives and 10 who play along the offensive or defensive line. UNK continues its pipeline from Kearney High as all-state linemen Kyle Davison, defensive back Owen Stubbs and defensive end Trenton Talbitzer join the squad. Former Bearcats currently on the team include wide receiver Tyler McNitt, linebacker Jeff Wickham and defensive back Tony Kulhanek. Also joining UNK are all-state linemen Jake McGlade of Creighton Prep and Nebraska City natives Mike James (WR) and Michael Gogan (OL). As in previous years, the Lopers recruited Colorado heavily and got five commitments with more expected. The group includes quarterback Graham Boswell (Monarch HS/Louisville) and top linemen Zac Fleer (Woodland Park) and Jack Hiett (Arvada West). This group of 17 joins nine transfers that are already on campus and will participate in spring ball. The complete list follows.
