Teply Named Receivers Coach

Kearney Native

Kearney, NE – Nebraska-Kearney head football coach Darrell Morris announced today that C.J. Teply, a Kearney native, is the Lopers new wide receivers coach.

Teply replaces Andy Follett, who recently left UNK to be the receivers coach at I-AA SW Missouri State.

Teply has been a UNK student assistant coach the past three years, serving as the team's running backs coach the past two. He also has worked closely with the tight ends the past three seasons.

In his Loper tenure, Teply has coached three-time All-RMAC running back Mike Miller and three-time All-RMAC tight end Joel Jacobs.

A 2003 UNK graduate with a degree in Health & Physical Education, Teply played quarterback at Concordia University in Seward and at Peru State. He also spent one season playing for the Tri-City Diesel of the National Indoor Football League (NIFL).

He is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Physical Education.

UNK begins spring ball this Monday.
