Football Adds Four Transfers to Roster

Grand Island, Lincoln Natives Among Newcomers

Kearney, Neb. Nebraska-Kearney head football coach Darrell Morris today announced the names of four players who have transferred to UNK this semester.

They'll each take part in winter conditioning and then participate in spring ball this March.

The group includes inside linebacker Darrell Bostick (Killeen, Texas/Western New Mexico U.), defensive linemen Luke Landri (Concord, Calif./Diablo Valley College), outside linebacker Micah Madlock (Lincoln/San Diego Mesa College) and defensive end Jared Stutzman (Grand Island/Midland Lutheran).

Bostick (6-0, 215 lbs.) prepped at Shoemaker High School in Texas with current Loper defensive linemen Jonathon Cannon. At Western New Mexico, he earned Academic All-RMAC honors in 2006 and made 19 tackles in five games that season.

Landri (6-2, 245 lbs.) earned first-team all-region honors this year after a 41 tackle, nine sack performance. As a freshman in 2006, Landri earned All-Golden Gate Conference honors.

Madlock (6-2, 220 lbs.) prepped at Lincoln High and then spent two years in California. He had 48 tackles this past season, as well as four pass break ups and two forced fumbles.

Finally, Stutzman (6-4, 240 lbs.) spent two years in Fremont playing for the NAIA Warriors. A Friend High School graduate, Stutzman registered 15 tackles this past year, including six for lost yardage.

UNK will begin spring workouts, weather permitting, in late March.
