Football Begins 2008 Season Friday
Fall Camp
Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney football team will begin the 2008 season this Friday, August 8th.
During fall camp, the team will be off on two Sundays (17th and the 24th). After the initial five day acclimatization period, the Lopers will alternate between one and two practices per day.
All practices will be at Ron & Carol Cope Stadium at Foster Field with the team moving to the grass practice field in case of extreme heat.
Finally, classes at UNK start on Monday, August 25th. The normal practice schedule (3-5:30 p.m.) will begin on August 26th; as usual, the team will be off on Mondays.
Around 110 players, 64 being true freshmen or redshirt freshmen, are expected to report this week.
