Men’s Basketball Up to 11th

One of 13 Unbeaten Teams Left

            Kearney, NE – The Nebraska-Kearney men’s basketball team is ranked 11^th in the first regular season edition of the NABC/Division II Bulletin Top 25 poll. The Lopers were 24^th in the preseason rankings.

            UNK is one of 13 unbeaten teams left in Division II. The unbeaten teams ranked ahead of the Lopers include No. 1 Southern Indiana (8-0), third ranked and North Central region member South Dakota State (11-0), No. 4 NW Missouri State (6-0) and No. 10 Florida Gulf Coast (6-0).

            Other North Central teams in the poll include No. 5 South Dakota (6-1) and No. 21 Metro State (6-2).

            After last night’s win over Doane, the Lopers are off until a December 30^th game at long time rival Hastings College.
