Kearney, Neb. –   The Fort Hays State men's basketball made nearly 70 percent of its shots in the second half to pull away for a 90-72 win over Nebraska-Kearney Saturday night in Hays, Kans.

The Lopers last gasp came when Bellevue senior Marty Levinson  (13 points) made a layup with 3:26 to go to make it 76-68 Tigers. Hays responded by hitting four free throws to up by 12 with 2:48 to play and UNK never got the deficit under 10 points the rest of the night.
