Jeri Walkowiak is the RMAC Female Athlete of the Month for November.
The league's sports information directors nominate the student-athletes that are then selected by the league office. Colorado School of Mines cross country runner Ben Zywicki is the league's top male athlete for November.
A senior from Grand Island, Walkowiak led UNK in kills (3.70) and blocks per set (0.83) in eight matches during November. She also helped the Lopers win the RMAC regular season title and the RMAC tournament and reach the NCAA Central Regional championship match.
Also, in a 3-2 RMAC tourney semifinal win over Regis, Walkowiak smashed home a school-record 31 kills. For the month, she had double digit kill totals six times in and hit over .270 five times.
Finally, just in November, Walkowiak was named RMAC Player of the Year, first-team All-RMAC, RMAC Tournament MVP, first-team All-Central Region (AVCA), second-team All-Central Region (Daktronics), first-team All-American (AVCA) and the AVCA National Player of the Week.
