Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska Kearney track & field team has placed six men and six women on the 2010 USTFCCA (U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association) All-Academic team.
To qualify, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of a 3.25 and also be an NCAA automatic or provisional qualifier during either the 2010 indoor or outdoor seasons.
Making the cut on the men's side were throwers
Kyle Glidden (Benkelman),
Drew Onnen (Fairbury) and
Nick Theis (Grand Island), distance runners
Thomas Neemann (Syracuse) and
Quinn Willet (Malcolm) and multi-event athlete
Bryson Mahlberg (Elwood).
Representing the UNK women are throwers
Emily Finley (Omaha Roncalli),
Brittany Weinandt (Wynot) and
Jackie Ziemke (Waco), distance runner
Brooke Harris (Dickens), hurdler
Jessie Golden (Sidney) and multi-event athlete
Jena Isaacson (Holdrege).
