Aqualopers 3rd in ColoradoAtterbury Leads UNK Kearney, NE – The Nebraska-Kearney women’s swimming and diving team tallied 29 points to place third in a triangular Friday night in Greeley, Colo. Host Northern Colorado (185) easily out distanced Colorado School of Mines (80) to win the event. The Lopers had four third place finishes on the night and picked up five of its team points in the 100 breaststroke. Colorado sophomore Jessyln Hackman swam a 1:15.88 to place third with fellow sophomore Jillian Woltman coming in fourth (1:19.79). Sophomore diver Jennifer Atterbury (Haysville, Kans.) earned six points for the Aqualopers by placing third at one (220.95 points) and three meters (225.38). Kansas junior Kristiana Jegel was the other Loper to finish third, swimming a 2:26.39 in the 200 backstroke. UNK heads to Brookings, S.D., next weekend to face Mankato State in a dual on Friday and night and then competes in the SDSU Invite on Saturday. |
