Jacome Finishes 6th at Small College NationalsAnother Tough Loss; Only Player to Take Set From Champ
Kearney, Neb. – This morning at the ITA National Small College Championships in Mobile, Ala., Nebraska-Kearney senior tennis player William Jacome lost in the fifth place match. For the weekend, Jacome (Miami, Fla.) went 1-2 and finished in sixth place. Today in the fifth place match, Jacome fell to Bijan Moallemi of UC San Diego (4-6, 6-3, 4-6). Jacome began the tournament with a three set loss to Alex Grubin of Concordia-N.Y. (3-6, 6-3, 2-6). Grubin went on to win the title and didn't drop a set in the semifinals or finals.
