Wiese Dubbs Inducted in 1988. |
| Marilyn Wiese Dubbs was
an outstanding track & field performer during her career
from 1974-1977. As a high jumper, she was the first Nebraska
female to clear 6 feet. She was undefeated in 16 regular
season meets in 1976 and 1977. Dubbs qualified for 4 AIAW
national meets finishing fourth as a sophomore and third as a
junior. She was NAIA indoor champion twice and won the Drake
Relays high jump as a senior in 1977 and again the following
year. |

Stenwall Inducted in 1996. |
| Jill Stenwall was the
first woman athlete to win a national championship for the
Antelopes when she captured the shot put title in 1980 with a
college record throw of 51-5.25. She qualified for AIAW
nationals in the shot put four years, finishing fourth and
sixth in addition to winning a national title. In 1979, she
also won the National Sports Festival shot put championship.
Her top six ranking in the shot put qualified her for the 1980
Olympic trials. Stenwall was also an outstanding discus
thrower who set the Kearney State record with a throw of
153'10" in 1979. All four years she competed, Stenwall
was CSIC All Conference in both events. |

| Danis Richards Willet was
a versatile sprinter for the Lady Lopers in the 1970's. In her
specialty, the 400 meters, she was the first Nebraska woman to
break 55 seconds when she set the university record of 54.6 in
1977. The Benkelman native qualified for four AIAW meets in
the 400 meters and on the 400 meter, 800 meter, and 3200 meter
relay teams. All three relay teams set UNK records. In 1978,
she represented the Midwest team in the first US Olympic
Sports Festival. She was rated among the top 25 collegiate 400
meter runners in the nation. As a masters competitor, Willet
has won national titles in the 100, 200, and 400 meters. She
received the National Outstanding Female Track Athlete Award
for her age group in 1991. |
| Barbara
Herbek Bergmeier Inducted in 1997. |
| Barbara was a 4 year
letter winner in cross country and track. When she graduated
in 1986, she held school records in the indoor two mile
(11:24.4), outdoor 1500 meter (4:43.5), 3000 meter (10:14.03)
and 5000 meter runs (17:44.3). In the 1985 CSIC meet,
Bergmeier won the 800 meter, 1500 meter, and 3000 meter races.
At the 1986 NAIA National Track & Field Championships, she
was a member of the winning distance medley and runner up
two-mile relay teams, leading the Lady Lopers to a fourth
place finish. |
| Beth
Stuart Jurgens Inducted in 1998. |
| Beth was a 12-time NAIA All American who earned seven national titles in the shot put and discus throw, during her career from 1983-1987. She also was a two time Academic All American. She set the indoor shot put record at the National event in 1987 with a toss of 50-8 and she set the National championship discus record in 1986 with a throw of 161-2. Jurgens was Nebraska's College Athlete of the Year in 1987. |
