Kearney, NE – The University of Nebraska at Kearney women's track team has added a Lexington High School standout sprinter to its roster.
Signing a letter of intent to attend UNK in the fall is Andrea Andersen. She will help the Lopers in the 200 and 400-meter dashes.
"We expect Andrea to come in next year and contribute right away," said UNK sprint and jumps coach Marcus Scheid. "Her current times would help us right now at the RMAC meet."
Last year at the state championships, Andersen placed second in the 400 with a time of 59.75. Lexington would go on to place fourth in the meet. Already this year, Andersen has gone 59.30 in the 400.Contact:
