Eight Lopers Compete in NCAA's

Lewis repeats as All-American

            Kearney, NE — After the second day of competition at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Meet, UNK finishes the weekend with two All-Americans. Joining Nate Wheat (Lakin, Kan.) as an All-American is senior Leah Lewis (Kearney) as she finished seventh in the triple jump competition with a jump of 38' 9.75". For the second consecutive year, Lewis earns the All-American honor in the triple jump, as last year she finished eighth.

. Junior Brian Meade (Papillion) finished 11th in the weight throw in his first trip to the NCAA Championships with a throw of 54' 01".

Casey Marsh (soph., Hastings) finished ninth, one place short of earning All-American honors, in the 400 meter dash as he finished the race in 48.98

The University of Nebraska at Kearney men's and women's track teams will begin the outdoor season with the UNK Open, March 31 at the Kearney High Track.
