Track Adds Home Meet

Second Youth Clinic Sunday

            Kearney, NE – The Nebraska-Kearney track team has added a home meet for next Friday, February 20^th, to make up for the cancellation of the UNK Open in mid-January.

            The UNK All-Comer will begin at 4:00 p.m. with field events and feature the Lopers, Fort Hays State and athletes from others area colleges.

            The Lopers were to have opened the indoor season with the UNK Open on January 17th but that meet was cancelled due to the renovation to Cushing Coliseum.

            Due to the addition, UNK will send only a few selected athletes to the Kansas State Open on February 21^st.

            The second youth clinic of the winter will run this Sunday from 1:00-4:00 p.m. with cost being $ 25.00. The clinic is designed for girls and boys ages 13 and up. Registration begins at noon.

            The first clinic was held two weeks ago on February 1^st.  Contact the UNK track office (308/865-8070) for more information.
