Jumpers Strong on Final DayLaux, Wagner Add Names to List Kearney, NE – Senior John Laux and freshman Sara Wagner had the top efforts for the Nebraska-Kearney track team on the final day of the Kansas Relays in Lawrence. Both provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championships in the triple jump. On Friday, Wagner put her name on the provisional list in the long jump. On the men's side, Laux (Lexington) finished 10th in the triple jump with a top effort of 48-6. Fellow senior Skyler Price (Home, Kans.) wasn't too far behind, finishing 12th (47-7). The mark to meet for the NCAA list in this event is 48-0. Unattached Randy Lewis was the winner here with a leap of 55-1. Ansley senior Derek Bailey and Brady sophomore Craig O'Dell got the day going by running the prelims of the 110 high hurdles. Bailey ran a 15.04 to finish 11th with O'Dell on his heels in 12th (15.11). Bailey then finished 16th (6-6.75) in the high jump. Wagner (Culbertson), who was 10th in the long jump on Friday, placed 10th (38-4.75) in the triple jump as well. Kansas' Brooklyn Hahn was triple jump champ with a leap of 42-0. 75. Also for the women, Bellwood junior Kate Semin finished seventh in the 400-meter dash finals. She turned in a 56.57 today after running a 54.98 yesterday afternoon Krystal Troutman of Kansas City C.C. was 400 meter champ in a time of 55.01. Finally, Hooper junior Cali Cordes was 15th (11-3.75) and Kearney freshman Kellie Hawkins 22nd (10-10) in the pole vault.
