Track 2nd in Dual Rankings

            Kearney, NE - The Nebraska-Kearney track teams are both ranked 2nd in the first NCAA Division II Top 25 Power Rankings of the indoor season.

            The rankings are released every Wednesday and compiled by the Division II Track Coaches Association.

            Using a point system, the rankings determine who are the top dual teams in the nation. A team's point total is determined by taking their top two times/marks in each event and then assigning a point total to those times/marks. The assigned point totals are added up to create a team's point total. 

            On the women's side, UNK (120.30) trails UNO (135.32). The Loper men have 125.11 points, just behind Emporia State (128.87). 

            In the final indoor rankings last year, UNK was 3^rd (women) and 4^th (men) respectively.
