Track in Top Five in Rankings

Women 2nd, Men 4th

Kearney, NE - The Nebraska-Kearney track teams are both ranked in the top five in the National Division II Dual Power Rankings.

The rankings, which consist of 40 teams, are released every Wednesday and compiled by the Division II Track Coaches Association.

Using a point system, the rankings determine who are the top dual teams in the nation. A team's point total is determined by taking their top two times/marks in each event and then assigning a point total to those times/marks. The assigned point totals are added up to create a team's point total.

The Loper women, ranked No. 1 in the first two editions of the poll, are now second behind Grand Valley State of Michigan.

The UNK men, who've also been ranked No. 1 this year, are now fourth. GVSU is also No. 1on the men's side.

The Lopers compete in the Prairie Wolf Invite in Lincoln tomorrow night.
