Memorial Scholarship Started for Clark Spanel

Benefits a Loper Track Athlete

      Kearney, Neb. – To honor the memory of former Nebraska-Kearney standout Clark Spanel, a memorial scholarship is being created in his name.

       Spanel, a Grand Island native, was killed in an auto accident on July 24th near Trenton, Nebraska.

       This scholarship will be given annually to a UNK track student-athlete. Donations are now being accepted with checks being payable to the "University of Nebraska Foundation." In the memo area, donators need to put "Clark Spanel Memorial Scholarship."
