The 2001 UNK Volleyball Camps will be directed by the Loper volleyball coaching staff, along with quality high school, junior college and four-year college coaches.
Head Coach Rick Squiers Camp Director -
Head Coach Rick Squiers:
Rick Squiers will begin his third season as head volleyball coach at UNK in 2001.

In his first two seasons, he has guided the Lopers to a 59-10 record, two NCAA

Tournament berths, an RMAC Tournament title, and two RMAC regular season titles.  The Lopers have also been tough at home the past two years, posting a 32-3 record in the Health & Sports Center.  For these achievements, Squiers was named the RMAC Coach of the Year in 2000 as the Lopers overcame several key injuries to post a 29-6 record.

Prior to coming to UNK, Squiers led the volleyball program at Hastings College.  As leader of the Broncos volleyball program, Squiers’ teams posted a sparkling 206-59 (77% winning percentage) record in six years with his teams winning three conference titles.  During his time in Hastings, his teams averaged 34 wins per season, and advanced to the national tournament three times.

Before Hastings, Squiers was the head coach at Seward County Junior College in Liberal, Kansas. In his one year there (1992), he led the Lady Saints to a 28-23 record, the teams first ever winning season.

In 11 years as head coach at the collegiate and High school levels, Squiers has garnered Coach of the Year honors five times while amassing an overall record of 366-103.

He is C.A.P. level II certified and has over 10 years experience directing summer volleyball camps.

Assistant Volleyball Coach Kerry Beidleman Assistant Camp Director - Kerry Beidleman:
Kerry Beidleman begins her second year as assistant volleyball coach at UNK after helping the Lopers earn their second RMAC championship and a trip to the Sweet

Sixteen of the NCAA Tournament.

Prior to joining UNK this past seummer, Beidleman was head coach of the NORCO Juniors Club team in Fort Collins, Colorado.. The squad was comprised of the top 14-year olds in the club and competed in many regional and national tournaments. She was at that position since November of 1998.

At the same time, Beidleman, a native of Cheyenne, WY, was also an assistant coach at Cheyenne East High School where she led the junior varsity program. She has also worked at many collegiate camps during the summer, including stops at Colorado State, the Air Force Academy and UNLV.

A 1998 graduate of Metro State, Beidleman earned three letters on the Roadrunner volleyball team from 1994-96. Playing setter, she earned Academic All-RMAC honors as a junior. That same year, she was sixth in the league in assists (935). As a senior, Beidleman was named honorable mention All-RMAC after finishing ninth in assists (1,035).

This will be her second year working the UNK Volleyball Camps.
