2000-01 (Jr.): Named Co-MVP of the RMAC along with Colorado Christian’s Tina Redmond, Swift earned all-region honors for the second straight year. She again lead UNK in most categories, including points, assists, steals and threes made. Swift led all of Div. II in three point percentage, making 47.1 percent of her long range shots. Swift became UNK’s career leader in threes when she made four at Western State, surpassing Kara Graham’s mark of 117. She had 28 points that night, tying her career high set a few days before at Morningside. In February, she had 28 in a big win at Fort Hays. Swift’s best three point game came against Nebraska Wesleyan (7 of 13) in December.
1999-00
(So.): Swift had a
monster sophomore year as she was named second-team All-North Central
region, second-team All-RMAC and Academic All-RMAC. In setting several UNK
records, she was the Loper leader in points, threes made and steals while
ranking second in assists. One of the deadliest three point shooters in
the nation, Swift ranked 16th in Div. II in threes made and second in
three-point percentage. Swift also ranked in the RMAC top ten in seven
different categories. She set UNK records for threes made in a game
(eight, vs. Regis, 12/19/99), season (82) and moved into second place on
the career trey list. She had 25 double figure games and led the Lopers in
scoring 12 times. She was named MVP of the UNK Thanksgiving Invitational
after scoring 39 points and making seven threes in two games. Showing her
point guard skills, Swift had 19 games with at three assists, including
five games with at least five assists.
1998-99
(Fr.): In her first
year, Swift played in 20 games, averaging nine minutes per appearance. A
good perimeter shooter, Swift attempted 19 three pointers, fourth most on
the team. She also averaged one rebound and one assist per game. At the
end of the year, her time increased as she played at least 15 minutes in
four of the last seven games. She hit two three pointers and scored eight
points in a season-high 20 minutes of work at CCU. In the RMAC Tourney
semifinals, she had seven points and two assists.
High School: Swift left LeMars as the schools all-time leading scorer with (1,340). A five-sport letterwinner, Swift had a stellar senior season as she earned second-team Class 4A all-state and first-team All-Northwest Iowa honors. She averaged 23.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, 6.2 assists, and 4.0 steals per game. A four-time all-conference selection, Swift led her team with 65 three-pointers as a senior. Her team’s three-time MVP, Swift set 19 school records during her prep career. Also as a senior, she set a school record for single-game scoring with a 44-point performance, including seven three-pointers, against Cherokee High.
