The Girls 2002 Loper All-Star Basketball Camps will be directed by the Loper women's basketball coaching staff, along with quality high school, junior college and four-year college coaches.
Head Coach Amy Stephens: There are few coaches, at any level, who have had as much success in their first six years as Nebraska-Kearney’s Amy Stephens.

Completing her seventh season

as leader of the Lopers, Stephens has a gaudy 174-36 record (82% winning percentage). In the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, the numbers are even better; 128-16 record for a 89% winning percentage.

The last seven years have been the most successful in UNK history. The Lopers have averaged 26 wins per season, made six straight NCAA Tournament appearances and won six RMAC titles (regular season or tournament).

At home, UNK has been untouchable in the Health & Sports Center. The Lopers won 87 straight home games, dating back to 1995, the longest win streak in Division II history. UNK’s "Streak" is believed to be the seventh longest in college basketball history (both NCAA and NAIA including men). Stephens has an all-time home record of 96-5.

With this success, its no surprise Stephens peers have named her RMAC Coach of the Year in five of the last six years.

Graduate Assistant Coach Jon Will Grad. Asst. Coach Jon Will: Jon Will is in his second year as an assistant coach for the Lopers. Jon joined the staff for the 1999-2000 season and was elevated to full-time assistant coach during this past off season.  He is the Loper recruiting coordinator and works with the post players.
"Coach Will brings a wealth of experience and a great deal of enthusiasm to our program," said Stephens.

A native of Norton, KS, Will was the head boys' basketball coach at Canton-Galva High School in 1998-1999.  Prior to that, he was the boys' assistant coach at the school from 1997-99. During his time at Canton-Galva High School, Will's junior varsity and varsity head coaching record was 37-19.

A 1997 graduate of Bethany College of Lindsborg, Kan., Will was a player and student assistant coach at BC from 1994-97. Besides his basketball duties, Will served as an assistant football coach at C-G High School since 1996.
