Women's Basketball Ranked
15^th in Preseason Poll

Missouri Western, Northern State Well Regarded

            Kearney, NE – The University of Nebraska at Kearney women's basketball team, fresh off two wins in the Minnesota State Tournament, is ranked 15^th in the USA Today/WBCA (Women's Basketball Coaches Association) Preseason Division II Top 25 poll.

            The Lopers, the only RMAC to be ranked in the poll, finished last season ranked 20^th. UNK received 187 votes, nine votes ahead of Minnesota-Duluth.

            Missouri Western State and Northern State, two teams that will play each other Friday at 3:00 p.m. in the UNK Thanksgiving Tournament, are also mentioned in the poll. The MWSC Golden Griffons, with all five starters back from a 22-win team, are ranked 25^th while Northern State is 27^th with 48 votes. Defending national champion Northern Kentucky is the top team in the nation.
