Women’s Basketball 13^th in Poll

Kruger Also Tabbed

            Kearney, NE – The Nebraska-Kearney women’s basketball team is picked 13th in the Women’s Division II Bulletin Preseason Top 25 poll.

            The only RMAC team ranked, UNK is one of five North Central region teams in Top 25, including top ranked South Dakota

            In addition, UNK is picked to finish first in the RMAC East Division with senior forward Allison Kruger being named the Preseason Player of the Year. Finally, Kruger is picked as one of the magazine’s “Super 16 Selections” or the top two players in each of the nation’s eight regions.

            The Lopers, coming off a 25-6 season and an eighth straight trip to the NCAA Tournament, begin their season November 9th with an exhibition game at Creighton. The regular season begins November 20th in Florida with a tilt against defending national champion South Dakota State.
