Women's Basketball Announces Staff ChangeKearney, NE - Nebraska-Kearney head women's basketball coach Carol Russell announced today that assistant coach Jon Will has resigned his position to pursue his educational interests. Will has been a part of the Lopers program the past three years. He spent the 2000-01 campaign as a graduate assistant before being the top assistant the past two years. "I want to thank everyone at UNK who has made my time here such a positive experience. UNK is a fine institution and I wish the university continued success." Will said. Will is going to continue his work towards a Master's degree in counseling at UNK. He is a 1997 graduate of Bethany College (Kans.). "Jon was a great help to me this season and I appreciate all he has done for the program," Russell said. "I wish him well in his future endeavors." Russell said she will begin the search for a new assistant immediately. In the 2002-03 season, the Lopers compiled a 25-6 record, won its sixth RMAC title and made an eighth straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament. |
