Women's Golf in Fourth Place at Regis

Hehn Tied for 5th

       

      Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney women's golf team shot a 339 and sits in fourth place after the first day of the second RMAC Fall Invite in Lakewood, Colo.

      The 36-hole tournament, hosted by Regis, is being played at the par 72 Fox Hollow Golf Course.

      Nationally-ranked Western New Mexico, who won the first RMAC Invite last week at Meadowlark Hills, leads the 10-team field with a 316.

      Fort Hays State (329) is second and then Chadron State (338). Only 11 strokes separates UNK from seventh place Montana State-Billings.

      South Dakota senior Kami Hehn is tied for fifth place after a six over par 78 (38-40). Shelby White of Hays (75) leads the field by one shot.

      Also for the Lopers, Kearney freshman Jami Melson is tied for 14th (83), Kearney junior Megan Marshall is tied for 19th (85), Central City senior Stacy Hartwig is tied for 36th (93) and Crofton senior Katei Zavadil is tied for 44th (102).

      The final round will be played today. Team first round results and player first round results.
