Hehn Wins Kansas City TournamentLopers Finish Fourth as a Team
Kearney, Neb. – Nebraska-Kearney senior Kami Hehn shot a 36-hole total of 159 to win the Park University Spring Invitational Tuesday in Parkville, Mo. The 36-hole tournament was played at the par 70 "The Deuce" at the National Golf Club of Kansas City. Hehn (Clear Lake, S.D.) has rounds of 78 and 81 to win the tournament by three strokes over Rachael Locke of Southwestern College (Kan). Hehn wins a tournament for the second time this year, the first one coming back in early September at the RMAC Fall Invitational. Prior to her win in September, no UNK women had won a tournament in three years. As a team, UNK shot a 722 (363-359) to finish fourth in a 12-team field. Rockhurst (695) won with Southwestern second (712). Also for the Lopers, Central City senior Stacy Hartwig came in 19th place (180/90-90), Grant freshman Emily Carlson tied for 35th (191/100-91), Kearney freshman Jami Melson tied for 40th (193/96-97), Kearney junior Megan Marshall was 48th (196/99-97) and Norfolk freshman Thea Baum tied for 59th (206/1051-01). UNK ends the regular season next week in Silver City, N.M., with the RMAC Championships. Pictured below is Hehn.
