Findlay Defeats Wrestling
Lopers Finish 1-2 in Ohio
Kearney, NE – The 11th-ranked Nebraska-Kearney wrestling team fell to 8th-ranked Findlay (Ohio), 27-17, Saturday night to finish 1-2 at the NWCA/Cliff Keen National Duals in Cleveland.
UNK (2-7) got out to a 10-0 lead thanks to a major decision win by junior Bryce Abbey (125 lbs.) and a pin by junior Adam Keiswetter (133 lbs). However, the Lopers could muster only two victories after that.
For the weekend, Abbey and Lyman sophomore Jeff Sylvester (197 lbs.) each went 3-0 while Mitchell redshirt freshman Pat True (149/157 lbs.) went 2-1.
UNK travels to Chadron State next Friday for an RMAC dual.
