Wrestling Remains Perfect in RMACLopers Beat Diggers Kearney, Neb. – After a series of close dual wins, the 3rd-ranked Nebraska-Kearney wrestling team had a bit easier match tonight in Golden, Colo., defeating Colorado School of Mines, 22-12. The Lopers improve to 12-3 on the season and are 5-0 in the RMAC. UNK got out to a 12-3 lead and never looked back. The Lopers won seven of the 10 match-ups, six by decision. Sophomore heavyweight Tervel Dlagnev had a major decision win over 5th-ranked Derek Thompson to cap the night. Mitchell sophomore Pat True (149 lbs.) helped the Lopers get out to that 12-0 lead with a 10-6 win while Fremont senior Aaron Dalton, ranked 7th in the nation at 165 lbs., got a 6-5 win over Peter Jenson to keep the Orediggers from get within six points. UNK returns home next Thursday to take on 4th-ranked Central Oklahoma and then heads to No. 1 ranked UNO next Saturday. That dual will be carried live on NETV 2.
