Wrestling Dominates UCODalton, Keiswetter Key Victory Kearney, Neb. – The 3rd-ranked Nebraska-Kearney wrestling team won seven of 10 weight classes to whip 4th-ranked Central Oklahoma, 24-15, Thursday night at the Health & Sports Center. A crowd of 781 watched UNK improve to 13-3 on the year while UCO drops to 10-6. The win ties the Lopers with three other squads (1998, 1999 and 2003) for the second most dual wins in a season. The record of 15 was set during the 1977-78 campaign. Fremont senior Aaron Dalton, ranked 7th nationally at 165 lbs., got UNK off on the right foot when he upset 5th-ranked Cort Peterson, 2-1, to begin the night. Dalton, who lost to Peterson when these two teams met at the National Duals in January, got a reversal with 43 seconds left in the third period to secure the win. UCO bounced back to take a 9-3 lead with a close win at 174 lbs. and a forfeit win at 184 lbs. The Lopers tied things up at heavyweight when 2nd-ranked Tervel Dlagnev (Arlington, Texas) beat 3rd-ranked Josh LeadingFox, 8-4, in one of the more anticipated match-ups of the evening Dlagnev got a near fall and a take down in the early stages of the first period to take a commanding 5-0 lead and then hung on for his second win over LeadingFox this year. Senior Adam Keiswetter (Kearney), ranked 2nd in the nation at 133 lbs., put an exclamation on the night when he pinned 6th-ranked Jared Henning at 2:48. UNK heads to No. 1 ranked UNO Saturday.
