Wrestling Wins at HaysLopers Now 2-0 Kearney, Neb. – The 3rd-ranked Nebraska-Kearney wrestling team returned to the mat Sunday afternoon in Kansas and beat the 17th-ranked Fort Hays State Tigers, 27-12. UNK improves to 2-0 on the season (1-0 RMAC) while Hays falls to 0-1. Mitchell sophomore Pat True (149 lbs.) gave UNK the lead right off the bat with a 7-2 decision over Josh Pfannestiel. The Tigers won three of the next four classes to take a 9-7 lead heading into the 197 lbs. match. There, Lyman junior Jeff Sylvester got a pin to give the Lopers the lead back and start a string of four straight UNK wins. With nationally-ranked senior Adam Keiswetter (133 lbs.) still out of the lineup due to injury, fellow senior Bryce Abbey wrestled in his place and recorded a pin.
