Bauer, Dlagnev Selected for All-Star ClassicNovember 20th in Texas Kearney, Neb. – Nebraska-Kearney head wrestling coach Marc Bauer and junior Tervel Dlagnev have been chosen to participate in the 41st Annual National Wrestling Coaches Association (NCWA) All-Star Classic. The prestigious event, presented by the U.S. Marine Corps, will take place Nov. 20th (Monday) at the Dallas Convention Center in Dallas, Texas Exhibition matches start at 6:00 p.m. and the main event at 7:00 p.m. The event will be carried live on College Sports Television (CSTV). The one-night meet pits the nation's best NCAA Division I wrestlers against in each other in all 10 weight classes. An exhibition match is held prior to the start of the Division I duals. Last year, Dlagnev beat Central Oklahoma's JoshLeading Fox, 6-3, in front of 4,854 fans in Stillwater, Okla. His opponent this year will be three-time Division III runner up Blake Gillis of Wartburg College (Iowa). Gillis beat Dlagnev, 5-4, last November in Omaha. A two-time All-American, Dlagnev (Arlington, Texas) has won 80 matches the past two seasons. Entering his eighth year as Lopers head coach, Bauer holds a 72-42 dual record and led UNK to six RMAC/West Region titles. In addition, the 2003 and 2006 Lopers finished runner up at the NCAA Championships.
