Cross Country Invite

  • When: - Monday September 24, 2007
  • Cost: - IMPORTANT  $60.00 per team - Boys and girls are counted as separate teams. Individual runners are IMPORTANT  $10.00 per runner. We ask your cooperation to please send your entry money before the meet to:

  • Scoring: - Class A will score 5 runners; Classes B, C and D will score 4 runners.  You do not have to designate your scorers; we will simply score your top 5 in A and your top 4 in B, C and D.  We will not have a JV race.  Everyone will run together.  Place your faster runners in the front of your box.
  • Packet Pick Up: - Will be outside the Country Club Clubhouse or inside the clubhouse if the weather is bad.  We will be there (at the Country Club) starting at 1pm.  Coaches, please do not send an athlete to pick up your packet and please do not drive your team vehicles into the Country Club parking lot.
    ***When you pick up your packet, please check it for accuracy to ensure speedy results processing.***
     
  • Awards: - Team trophy to the winner of each class in both genders.  The top 20 individuals in each race will receive a medal.  We’ll hand out the medals and announce the top 20 of each race on the top of the hill by the tee box next to the water station.
  • Admission: - $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for students.
  • Entry Deadline: - IMPORTANT  Please complete entry form online using the links below.   Online registration for this meet will be available until the deadline, Wednesday, September 19, 2007.

  • Scratches: - We will accept scratches only on the day of the meet, no additions after the deadline.
     
  • Entry confirmation: - Coaches, it is your responsibility to check your entries to ensure that all of your athletes get to compete.  We’ll have entries up on the website, www.lopers.com , as close as possible to 12 pm on Thursday, September 20th.
  • Parking: - Click here for a printable map with driving directions (2MB download time approx 1-2 minutes DSL).
     
  • Results: - Will be available as soon as possible following each meet. They will also be available on line on our website which is located at: www.lopers.com  Unofficial results will be posted on the trailer on top of the hill located on the East side of the finish line.  We will fax all results to all most media outlets in Nebraska.  Coaches...please DON'T come inside the results tent.  This will prevent confusion and interruptions!!

  • Numbers: - Bib numbers will be issued with each athlete’s information on it.  It is to be worn on the front and affixed by four pins.  No athletes will be allowed into the finish chute without a bib number.  Please help us to process results in a timely fashion by wearing the bib number.
  • Finish Line: - At the conclusion of a race we ask coaches to help out our staff by keeping parents and fans out of the restricted area at the finish line.   If an athlete is hurt or extremely tired, please let our training staff work with the athlete.   The more people we get in the restricted finish area causes major problems with the finish of the race.  Thank you for your cooperation!!!
  • Athletic Trainers: - We’ll have the UNK Athletic Training Department at the meet once again this year for help with all medical emergencies, water stations, etc.   We’ll also have the services of Good Samaritan with ambulance and paramedics available for assistance.
