To date, UNK has a slew of national marks in an array of events. Seniors
Marissa Bongers (800) and
Jackie Ziemke (shot), along with junior
Dillon Schrodt (heptathlon), lead the way as each ranks third.
Ziemke has a top toss of 49-9 and is eyeing the Lopers all-time record of 51-5.25, set by Jill Stenwall in February 1980.
Bongers is UNK's record holder in the 800 (2:08.72) and trails only runners from two West Coast schools on the national list. Schrodt broke his own hep record back in December at the UNK Pre-Holiday invite, scoring 5,256 points.
Nick Lebron of Southern Connecticut (5,496) and Minnesota State's Nate Hancock (5,371) rank 1-2 nationally.
UNK has been soaring in the pole vault all winter with three men -- senior
Mark Seeba (16-2.75), junior
Jay Kilpatrick (15-7) and sophomore
Tanner Schwanz (15-5) –and true frosh
Brooke Frederick (12-0.75) on the national lists.

Also this weekend, a handful of Lopers are taking part in the Frank Sevigne/Husker Invite in Lincoln. That takes place
