Aqualopers Extinguish Flames

Kearney, Neb. - The Nebraska-Kearney women's swimming & diving team won all 13 events to beat the College of St. Mary, 163-49, Saturday afternoon in Kearney.

Double winners for UNK included Kansas sophomore Heather Glodt (50 free & 200 breast), Idaho freshman Cidnee Maggart (200 free & 200 back), Lincoln freshman Brianna Nelsen (100 & 1,000 free) and sophomore diver Jourdan McKevery (Wichita, Kans.)

Currently in the RMAC Top 20 in multiple events, Maggart won the 200 free in a time of 2:15.53, nearly 20 seconds faster then the runner up. In the 200 back, she came in at 2:31.80, almost 18 seconds better then the 2nd place finisher. 

Maggart also swam on the winning 400 medley relay team (5:01.40).

Glodt first won the 50 free (26.82) and then came out on top in the 200 breaststroke (2:39.40).  Next, Nelsen (Lincoln Northeast) completed the tough 1,000 free in 11:55.15 and, six events later, won the 100 free in 1:00.29. In this event, she just edged CSM's Kaity Greco (1:00.49) for top honors.

McKevery scored 354.10 points on the 1 meter board (11 dives) and tallied 197.05 points (6 dives) at 3 meters.
