Kearney, Neb. - The Nebraska-Kearney softball team has placed four players on the 2010 RMAC All-Academic team.

To qualify, a player must have a 3.30 cumulative GPA or better and have completed at least two semesters/three quarters at her current school. Sports information directors then vote to determine the first and second teams.

Making the first-team was senior catcher Sara Dunn (Papillion) with senior CF Alissa Larsen (Lincoln) on the second-team. Named honorable mention was senior SS Kelsey Smith (Blair) and sophomore pitcher Kirstie Hiatt (McCook).

Dunn is a repeat first-team pick and is also aiming to earn first-team Academic All-District honors for a second straight spring. That team will be named shortly.
