Loper Soccer to Host "Bleed Blue" Night

Kearney, Neb. The Nebraska-Kearney women's soccer team hosts the Tigers of Fort Hays State on Thursday, October 30th, in a crucial rivalry game as they continue their push to secure a spot in the MIAA Tournament.

Kickoff time is 6:30 p.m.

In conjunction with this game, UNK is hosting "Bleed Blue" Night, where fans are encouraged to proudly sport their Loper Royal Blue. "Beat Hays" rally towels will also be made available to the first 300 fans in attendance wearing blue.

"Obviously these final two matches are extremely important for us and will have the ability to define our entire season. A successful weekend will help us secure a spot in the post season MIAA Tournament, which has always been our goal," said Loper head coach John Maessner. "These will be the last two regular season home matches for our seniors and it will be very nice for our fans to come out and support them and our team and help us push for the post season!"

The game will be the second meeting of the season between UNK and FHSU with the Tigers taking the first one in double-overtime, 1-0. The Lopers will also see Emporia State for the second time on Sunday afternoon as the two teams battled to a 0-0 draw in Kansas last Friday night.
