Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney women's golf team shot a 36-hole total of 704 to finish in fifth place at the ThunderWolf Invitational in Pueblo, Colo.
The 10-team tournament was held at the par 72 Walking Stick G.C. The second and final round was played on time after several rain delays on Monday.
Hastings sophomore
Sara Wissing led the Lopers again as she tied for fifth with a 166 (85-81). Kendal Martin of Adams State earned medalist honors with a 163 (81-82).
As a team, UNK had rounds of 358 and 346. Mesa State (667) easily won the tournament with Montana State-Billings second (681), Western New Mexico third (687) and Adams fourth (694).
Rounding out the Loper lineup was Grant junior
Emily Carlson (T-15th/174), Norfolk natives
Nicole Erwin and
Thea Baum (each T-30th/182) and Beatrice sophomore
Marni Stuart (T-49th/215).
