Kearney, Neb. - Nebraska-Kearney defensive line coach Andy Avalos has recently been named to the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) All-Century football team.
The California native was a two-time 1st-team linebacker at Boise State from 2000-04. He was one of eight Broncos selected to the team, which was chosen by an on-line vote.
Avalos joined UNK in 2009 after serving as an assistant coach at Colorado and his prep alma mater, Corona (Calif.) High School.
This past fall, the UNK d-line recorded 26.5 sacks and was led by All-Region performers
Josh Rohde and
Mason Brodine. To see the complete WAC all-century team, go
